IRIA – ICRI Outreach Programme 2026 – Beyond Grayscale

The Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (Rajasthan State Chapter) organized another academic session under the IRIA – ICRI Outreach Programme banner. Formally centered on the medical theme “Beyond Grayscale,” the conference was designed to enhance diagnostic expertise with a heavy emphasis on advanced Doppler ultrasound techniques for clinical practitioners. The single-day academic gathering was conducted on Sunday, 23rd August 2026, starting in the late afternoon at 04:30 pm. To ensure broad educational accessibility, delegate registration was offered free of charge, though completing registration in advance remained mandatory for all attendees. The event was organized with the support of its official event partner, Mindray.

The proceedings and academic sessions took place at 5 Flowers Ananta Elite, situated at SP-3 Chambal Industrial Area near the New Bus Stand in Kota, Rajasthan. The selected venue provided a professional setting for regional radiologists to connect, share insights, and discuss complex diagnostic challenges. Beyond the educational environment of the hotel conference halls, the host city of Kota provided an accessible central hub for medical practitioners arriving from across the state.

The event featured a well-structured scientific programme running continuously through the late afternoon and evening. Formal operations began with delegate registration between 04:30 pm and 05:00 pm. The academic presentations initiated from 05:00 pm to 05:30 pm with a dedicated lecture on “Splenoportal doppler,” presented by a local hospital consultant radiologist from Kota. The second academic segment ran from 05:30 pm to 06:00 pm, offering practical guidance on “Fetal Doppler simplified,” led by a consultant radiologist and fetal medicine center director based in Jaipur. Following this, a senior consultant radiologist and clinic director from Bhilwara conducted two consecutive talks: the first from 06:00 pm to 06:30 pm covering “Upper limb arterial Doppler,” followed by a second session from 06:30 pm to 07:00 pm addressing “Scrotal Doppler – Torsion and beyond”. The scientific agenda formally wrapped up from 07:00 pm onwards, transitioning directly into the inaugural ceremony and a networking dinner.

The planning and seamless delivery of the programme were made possible by a dedicated committee working alongside regional coordinators and state leadership. The direct organizing team featured the Patron of the State IRIA Outreach Program, the President and Secretary of the State IRIA Rajasthan, State Outreach Program Coordinators, and designated Local Coordinators in Kota. Institutional guidance and organizational oversight were provided by the complete Rajasthan Chapter’s Executive Body, including the President, President Elect, Past President, Vice Presidents, Joint Secretaries, Treasurer, Central Council Members, and State Executive Members.

IRIA Rajasthan Chapter – CME on Fetal Imaging 2026

The Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA), Rajasthan Chapter, organised a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on the theme “Fetal Imaging” on 9 August 2026 at Hotel Sagar Palace, Bikaner. The programme was designed as an academic and knowledge-sharing initiative focusing on various important aspects of fetal imaging and antenatal ultrasound. Registration for the CME was free but mandatory.

The scientific programme covered a wide range of topics related to the systematic evaluation of the developing fetus. The sessions included detailed discussions on the normal four-chamber view of the fetal heart, abnormal cardiac chamber views and evaluation of the cardiac outflow tracts, providing insights into the role of ultrasound in assessing fetal cardiac anatomy. The programme also addressed the comprehensive evaluation of fetal limbs beyond femur length, highlighting the importance of detailed fetal anatomical assessment.

Further sessions focused on the evaluation of the fetal face, NT/NB scan and beyond, and abnormalities of the fetal brain. These topics provided a broad perspective on fetal imaging and the identification and evaluation of various anatomical findings during pregnancy. The programme was structured to encourage academic learning and discussion around contemporary approaches to fetal ultrasound and imaging.

The CME provided a valuable platform for members of the radiology and medical fraternity to enhance their knowledge, exchange clinical perspectives and engage in focused academic discussions on fetal imaging. With its comprehensive scientific programme covering fetal cardiac, skeletal, facial and neurological assessment, the event reflected the importance of detailed and systematic imaging in prenatal evaluation. The programme also included an inauguration, High Tea, felicitation and networking opportunities, followed by dinner.

Hosted by the Department of Radio-Diagnosis, Sardar Patel Medical College, Bikaner, in association with the Bikaner Chapter of IRIA, the CME represented an important academic initiative under the Rajasthan Chapter of IRIA. The event contributed to continuing professional education while providing an opportunity for participants to come together for learning and knowledge exchange in the specialised field of fetal imaging.

Glimpses of 32nd Annual Conference of the Rajasthan State Chapter of IRIA

The 32nd Annual Conference of the Rajasthan State Chapter of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association was successfully held on 20 and 21 December 2025 at the majestic Labh Garh Palace Resort located on Nathdwara Road in Udaipur Rajasthan India. The conference brought together radiologists educators and imaging professionals from across the state and beyond for two days of academic excellence professional interaction and collaborative learning. Set against the serene backdrop of the Aravalli hills the venue provided an ideal environment for intellectual exchange and meaningful discussions.

The central theme of the conference was “Changing Trends in Radiology Practices & Education” which reflected the rapidly evolving landscape of radiology driven by technological advancements artificial intelligence and changing educational methodologies. The theme resonated strongly with the participants as it addressed both clinical practice and academic training which are crucial for the future of the specialty. The sessions were thoughtfully designed to bridge the gap between traditional radiology practices and emerging innovations while emphasizing the importance of continuous learning.

The conference was organized under the able leadership of Dr Anand Gupta who served as the Organizing Chairman. His vision dedication and meticulous planning played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of the event. The role of Organizing Secretary was efficiently carried out by Dr Rambir Singh Andana whose tireless efforts and coordination contributed significantly to the success of the conference. Together they led a committed organizing team that worked diligently to deliver a high quality academic program and a memorable experience for all attendees.

The Rajasthan State Chapter of IRIA was represented by its office bearers who provided strong guidance and support throughout the event. Dr Paresh Sukhani the President of IRIA Rajasthan State Chapter offered valuable leadership and encouragement to the organizing team. His address highlighted the importance of adapting to changing trends in radiology while upholding ethical standards and professional integrity. Dr Kushal Baboo Gehlot the Secretary of IRIA Rajasthan State Chapter played a key role in coordination and administration ensuring seamless communication and execution of various activities during the conference.

The scientific program featured a wide range of academic sessions including keynote lectures panel discussions and interactive case based presentations. Eminent faculty members shared their expertise on advanced imaging techniques emerging subspecialties and the integration of artificial intelligence in radiology practice. Special emphasis was laid on evolving educational strategies residency training and the role of digital platforms in medical education. The sessions encouraged active participation and fostered meaningful dialogue between senior experts and young radiologists.

Workshops and focused discussions provided practical insights into current challenges and opportunities in radiology practice. Topics such as quality assurance workflow optimization and future career pathways were addressed in depth. The conference also served as a platform for young radiologists and postgraduate students to present their research and clinical work thereby promoting academic growth and confidence.

Beyond academics the conference offered ample opportunities for networking professional bonding and cultural exchange. Social events and informal interactions allowed participants to connect with peers and mentors in a relaxed setting. The hospitality and arrangements at Labh Garh Palace Resort were highly appreciated and added to the overall experience of the conference.
