Similarly, the IRIA members have also joined the bandwagon and have launched an initiative \u2018Raksha\u2019 on October 29, 2017, at Aurangabad as a part of a Continuing Medical Education programme.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"540\" src=\"http:\/\/www.iriaraj.in\/iriabulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/image_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iriaraj.in\/iriabulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/image_2.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.iriaraj.in\/iriabulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/image_2-300x203.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.iriaraj.in\/iriabulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/image_2-768x518.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p> \u2018Raksha\u2019 aims at uplifting the self-esteem of the girl child by educating her and providing her with means to pursue a way and to earn income, so that she is not dependent on the male section of the society for her basic needs and survival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> It\u2019s a saying that \u2018a&nbsp;Daughter is not \u2018tension\u2019 but is equal to 10 sons\u2019. And acting promptly to it, the Maharashtra State Branch of Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (MSBIRIA) has come up with a social initiative \u2014 \u2018Raksha\u2019 \u2014 and has started a week-long campaign around the Roentgen Discovery Day of 2017 to increase awareness on saving a girl child. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IRIA &#8211; Rajasthan Chapter has also started a mission of &#8220;Raksha Programme&#8221;.
