Glimpses of 32nd Annual Conference of the Rajasthan State Chapter of IRIA

The 32nd Annual Conference of the Rajasthan State Chapter of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association was successfully held on 20 and 21 December 2025 at the majestic Labh Garh Palace Resort located on Nathdwara Road in Udaipur Rajasthan India. The conference brought together radiologists educators and imaging professionals from across the state and beyond for two days of academic excellence professional interaction and collaborative learning. Set against the serene backdrop of the Aravalli hills the venue provided an ideal environment for intellectual exchange and meaningful discussions.

The central theme of the conference was “Changing Trends in Radiology Practices & Education” which reflected the rapidly evolving landscape of radiology driven by technological advancements artificial intelligence and changing educational methodologies. The theme resonated strongly with the participants as it addressed both clinical practice and academic training which are crucial for the future of the specialty. The sessions were thoughtfully designed to bridge the gap between traditional radiology practices and emerging innovations while emphasizing the importance of continuous learning.

The conference was organized under the able leadership of Dr Anand Gupta who served as the Organizing Chairman. His vision dedication and meticulous planning played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of the event. The role of Organizing Secretary was efficiently carried out by Dr Rambir Singh Andana whose tireless efforts and coordination contributed significantly to the success of the conference. Together they led a committed organizing team that worked diligently to deliver a high quality academic program and a memorable experience for all attendees.

The Rajasthan State Chapter of IRIA was represented by its office bearers who provided strong guidance and support throughout the event. Dr Paresh Sukhani the President of IRIA Rajasthan State Chapter offered valuable leadership and encouragement to the organizing team. His address highlighted the importance of adapting to changing trends in radiology while upholding ethical standards and professional integrity. Dr Kushal Baboo Gehlot the Secretary of IRIA Rajasthan State Chapter played a key role in coordination and administration ensuring seamless communication and execution of various activities during the conference.

The scientific program featured a wide range of academic sessions including keynote lectures panel discussions and interactive case based presentations. Eminent faculty members shared their expertise on advanced imaging techniques emerging subspecialties and the integration of artificial intelligence in radiology practice. Special emphasis was laid on evolving educational strategies residency training and the role of digital platforms in medical education. The sessions encouraged active participation and fostered meaningful dialogue between senior experts and young radiologists.

The IRIA Rajasthan State Chapter has had a highly active and productive year marked by continuous academic engagement professional development and strong collegial bonding among radiologists across the state. Throughout the year the chapter organized and supported a wide range of educational programs including conferences CMEs workshops outreach activities and focused academic sessions aimed at enhancing knowledge and skills in diagnostic imaging.

Regular academic initiatives addressed emerging trends in radiology evolving technologies and best practices in patient care while also emphasizing the importance of structured education for residents and young radiologists. These programs provided valuable opportunities for interaction between senior faculty and early career professionals fostering mentorship and academic growth.

The chapter also strengthened professional unity through collaborative activities and meaningful participation of members from different regions of Rajasthan. Administrative efforts during the year focused on transparent functioning effective communication and active involvement of members in chapter initiatives.

World Radiology Day Celebration honouring Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen

A CME Program and World Radiology Day Celebration honouring Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen was successfully organized by IRIA Rajasthan State Chapter on Saturday 9th November 2025 in the afternoon at Bangur Hospital Basement New Neurosurgery Lecture Theatre SMS Medical College Jaipur. The program focused on academic advancement and recent developments in radiology while commemorating the discovery of X rays by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen. The event served as a meaningful platform for learning professional interaction and reflection on the legacy of radiology. It reaffirmed IRIA’s commitment to continuous medical education and excellence in imaging sciences.

Election of Office Bearers of Rajasthan State Chapter of IRIA for the Year 2026

According to Bye laws, and directive of Dr. Paresh kumar Sukhani, President, Rajasthan State Chapter of IRIA, the nomination for the office bearers of Rajasthan State Chapter of IRIA for the post as mentioned below are hereby invited.

The member desirous of contesting should file the nomination in the prescribed proforma, and a scanned copy of duly filled nomination form along with all the attachments as required, should reach the office of the Election Officer through email not later than 10th October, by 05.00 pm from the registered email id of the candidate. The physical copy of the nomination should be sent by Speed Post/Courier service so as to reach the office of the Election Officer by this date. Nominations including physical copy received after the said date shall not be considered.

CME Program on Breast Imaging CME and Hands On Workshop

A CME Program on Breast Imaging CME and Hands On Workshop was successfully organized by IRIA Rajasthan State Chapter on Saturday 31st August 2025 in the afternoon at Auditorium First Floor Fortis Escorts Hospital J.L.N Marg Jaipur. The program focused on enhancing knowledge and practical skills in breast imaging with emphasis on updated protocols diagnostic accuracy and clinical application. The hands on workshop provided valuable practical exposure and interactive learning for participants. The event reflected IRIA’s commitment to continuous medical education skill development and advancement of imaging practices.

OUTREACH PROGRAM AT GANGANAGAR

An Outreach Program was successfully organized by the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA) Rajasthan State Chapter on Sunday 17 August 2025 at 3.30 pm at KLM Hotel & Resort RJ SH 3 Nima Wali Sri Ganganagar. The program aimed to strengthen professional engagement among radiologists and promote academic interaction while discussing recent developments in radiology and imaging practices. The event provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and networking and collaborative learning. It reflected IRIA’s continued commitment to academic excellence and professional growth in the region.

The Raj Mid Term CME Program on Excellence in Radiology Mastering Imaging for a Dynamic Future was successfully organized by IRIA Rajasthan State Chapter on 10 and 11 May 2025 at Hyatt Palace Malviya Nagar Jaipur. The program focused on academic excellence and advanced imaging concepts relevant to modern radiology practice. It served as an important platform for knowledge enhancement professional interaction and exchange of expertise. Outreach Program at Bhilwara

An Outreach Program on Women’s Imaging was successfully organized by IRIA Rajasthan State Chapter on Saturday 22 March 2025 at 06:00 pm at Firangi Club Ajmer Road Bhilwara Raj.. The program focused on academic awareness and recent advances related to imaging in women’s health. It provided a valuable platform for professional interaction and knowledge enhancement among participants. The event highlighted IRIA’s commitment to outreach activities and continuous education in specialized areas of radiology.

A CME Program was successfully organized by Shakti the Women’s Wing of IRIA Rajasthan State Chapter on Saturday 8th March 2025 in the afternoon at Lecture Theater 1 New Academic Block SMS Medical College Jaipur. The program focused on academic enrichment and professional development with emphasis on recent advances and best practices in radiology. It provided an effective platform for learning exchange and professional interaction. The event highlighted the active role of Shakti in promoting academic excellence and leadership among women radiologists in the state.
